Mercer Health & Benefits, one of the world's largest HR consulting firms, initially hired us in 2004 to introduce a new, leading-edge health care plan to employees at the Houston Independent School District. We needed to do more than simply provide information about a new plan. We needed to open up a new way of thinking about health care and help make employees comfortable enough with two new Consumer Directed Health Plan options to garner 17% enrollment in the new plan. Our campaign reached out to every level of employee, from senior managers to hourly workers to labor union officials. We helped enroll nearly 40% of eligible employees in a CDHP plan. Because of our success, Mercer now looks to us to provide benefits communications consulting for all of their local public sector clients, including HISD, Aldine ISD, Katy ISD, and METRO.
